In a remarkable endeavor, FJDP has been steadfast in its mission to enhance the lives of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Benue State. By joining hands with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), as well as collaborating with the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA), and National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), FJDP has been instrumental in fostering impactful change and delivering hope to the vulnerable.
A pivotal initiative in this journey is the Biometric registration of IDPs in Benue state, carried out through a collective effort involving IOM, UNHCR, and BSEMA. The core purpose of this activity is to create and manage a robust and verifiable database of IDPs within Benue state. This comprehensive data compilation serves as a crucial foundation for informed planning and decision-making processes, benefiting both governmental bodies and humanitarian actors alike.
Through this concerted effort, FJDP, IOM - UN Migration, UNHCR Nigeria, and BSEMA are working harmoniously to ensure that the needs and aspirations of forcibly displaced individuals in Benue state are accurately captured and considered. This data-driven approach empowers policymakers and humanitarian organizations to tailor interventions, allocate resources effectively, and implement initiatives that directly address the unique challenges faced by IDPs.
As FJDP continues to be a beacon of hope, its commitment to improving the lives of IDPs is exemplified through these collaborative endeavors. By leveraging the support and expertise of IOM, UNHCR, BSEMA, and the guidance of the Admin Manager, FJDP envisions a future where every displaced individual in Benue state can rebuild their lives, regain their dignity, and look forward to brighter horizons.
Together, we forge a path towards meaningful change, transforming adversity into opportunity, and ensuring that the voices of IDPs are heard and acted upon. FJDP stands alongside its partners, driving positive transformation to those forcibly displaced.
