As part of efforts to protect and empower Refugees, FJDP through her partnership with UNHCR carried out a sensitization on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Gender Based violence (GBV) at Tse-Gusa, Imande Agbatse in Kwande LGA of Benue State.
The aim of the sensitization was to educate Refugees at the border community on the risks, signs and consequences of violence and abuse. Break the Silence messages were also featured to help create Safe Spaces for Survivors to share their experiences and seek support without fear of judgement and stigmatization.
A trauma healing session through art therapy (music and dance) wrapped up the activity.
Kudos to UNHCR for always giving succour to the displaced.
