Echoes of Tragedy in Hirnyam: Benue Community's Unyielding Quest for Justice
Aug 12, 2023
In the heart of Naka Camp, lives a 5-year-old girl named Mnena. Her family was forcibly displaced from their ancestral home, leading them to seek refuge at the UBE Primary School in Naka, Gwer West LGA.
Recently, we encountered Mnena, who was attempting to cook a meal over a small fire. When asked, she softly admitted to being hungry, with no food in sight. Her fire symbolized hope in a life marked by displacement, where hunger and starvation are daily companions. The makeshift tents, inadequate against the rains, add to their plight.
These IDPs, like Mnena and her family, endure unimaginable hardships. They lack proper shelter, food, and even the most basic amenities we often take for granted.
FJDP is committed to making their lives better, but we need your support to do more. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference.
Together, let's provide these resilient IDPs with shelter, sustenance, and most importantly, hope.
