FJDP, alongside key partners including UNHCR, AKSEMA, NIS, NCSDC, and DSS, conducted a joint border monitoring visit in Ibeno LGA, Akwa-Ibom state. This initiative aimed to foster continued synergy between the host community and partners in protecting forcibly displaced persons.
During the visit, the deputy governor of Akwa-Ibom state, represented by the permanent secretary, expressed unwavering support for the protection of refugees and asylum seekers, emphasizing the need for collaboration among the host community and partners. The Senior Protection Officer (SPO) from FJDP reiterated the organization's commitment to providing ongoing protection services to refugees and asylum seekers, working closely with relevant agencies in Akwa-Ibom state.
Through this joint border monitoring visit, FJDP and its partners strive to strengthen cooperation and ensure the provision of comprehensive protection services to forcibly displaced persons. By fostering synergy and collaboration, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment for refugees and asylum seekers in Akwa-Ibom state.
