FJDP in partnership with UNHCR Nigeria carried out a significant step towards humanitarian support by conducting a Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) of the Cash-Based Intervention (CBI) at Ikyogen Refugee Settlement.
The Cash-Based Intervention (CBI) program plays a crucial role in providing financial assistance to Individuals of Concern. UNHCR, recognizing the importance of this intervention, aims to improve the living conditions of Refugees in Nigeria.
To ensure transparency and the efficiency of this program, a Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) is regularly conducted after interventions. In alignment with our commitment, FJDP, the protection partner of UNHCR in Benue, diligently executed a PDM exercise at Ikyogen Refugee Settlement subsequent to a prior cash distribution to Refugees.
The PDM this year was conducted through Focused Group Discussions (FGD), a method carefully chosen to involve a diverse group of participants. With a mindful approach to age, gender, and diversity (AGD), these discussions provided valuable insights on the outcomes and impacts of the CBI program among the refugee community at Ikyogen, Benue State.
During these insightful discussions, we explored various aspects of the CBI program. Topics ranged from the overall satisfaction of beneficiaries with the assistance received, to evaluating the appropriateness of the cash transfers, targeting effectiveness, and the far-reaching impact of cash assistance on livelihoods, food security, and overall well-being.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to UNHCR for their support to persons of Concern. Their dedication empowers us to continue making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
