Pastoralists in Communities of Gidan Hakam in Kanje community of Nasarawa state applaud FJDP Nigeria and Misereor for Psychosocial Support which is helping women and men recover from traumatic experiences.
A beneficiary who is recovering from grief over her son kidnapped till date stated that the counseling sessions and therapies stabilized her through pregnancy till She birthed another Child. The community offered cow milk locally called Nono to the internal evaluation team who met the community celebrating the new born.
The leader of the community Zubeiro Hamza Wakili, expressed joy over the news of a field office in Awe saying that it will provide opportunity for advocacy against blocking of stock routes which remained the challenge of pastoralists in Awe LGA.
They solicited for support to pastoralist women to improve their income generating potential through skills training in processing and marketing of dairy products.
