FJDP STAFF ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL CAPACITY IN TRAUMA SENSITIVITY AND TRAUMA SENSITIVE HELPING, SHARE OUTCOMES OF BASELINE SITUATION, APPLAUD INITIATIVE BY MISEREOR AT ABUJA NIGERIA.
FJDP Staff acquire improved skills to deliver Trauma-Sensitive Helping to survivors of violation at a 3-day workshop put together by Misereor for Partners in Nigeria.
Represented by the Programme Manager, Coordinator of FJDP, Fr Remigius Ihyula commended Misereor for regular accompaniment capacity building especially in Trauma Management. Fr Remigius commended the timelines of the workshop giving stressful events that have besieged Nigeria in recent months especially armed attacks by gun men, cashless policy and rigours of general elections.
The Programme Manager, Valentine Kwaghchimin presented some findings from a Baseline Survey on Community Resilience in Awe LGA of Nasarawa State, and Guma LGA of Benue state, charging all stakeholders to collaborate towards addressing identified barriers to trauma resilience, livelihood and economic resilience as well as security resilience. The Strengthening Community Resilience (SCORE) Programme is supported by Misereor Aachen.
