FJDP has over the years,continued to offer protection services to Refugees and IDPs in Benue and Akwa-Ibom States.
The project which is funded by UNHCR Nigeria covers 5 LGAs under the IDP operation and And 5 LGAs under the Refugee operation.
The year 2023 kick started with community entry across all the locations so as to let the stakeholders know that FJDP is still in the business of Protecting the vulnerable in their communities.
One of the communities captured is that of the Agagbe community, Gwer West LGA of Benue state.
Agagbe in Gwer West has about seven IDP Camps within her community.
The situation of the IDPs in this community is such that,most Displaced Persons have no access to shelter and the IDPs have resolved to be sleeping outside,due to over crowding in the few available shelters in the form of classrooms, tents and shops converted to living rooms.
The community was very glad to be partakers of this intervention and prayed that God should help them out of this situation. They further pleaded for other NGOs and well meaning individuals to come to their aid
