Engaging Men through accountable practices (EMAP)" is an initiative led by FJDP, aimed at actively involving men in the prevention of various forms of harm towards women and girls. This program strives to create a community where women and girls can feel safe and their voices are valued.
EMAP seeks to transform the harmful beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that some men may hold due to traditional and cultural influences. These beliefs might contribute to violence against women and girls. The program recognizes the importance of changing these negative mindsets to foster respectful relationships.
One of EMAP's key objectives is to deeply analyze the underlying causes of gender-based violence (GBV) and address them permanently. By understanding the root causes, the program can work towards sustainable solutions that can help prevent GBV from happening in the first place.
FJDP is fully committed to the cause of EMRA. They are dedicated to bringing about positive change by engaging men as allies in the fight against GBV. FJDP believes that when men actively participate in preventing violence and promoting gender equality, it creates a more inclusive and secure community for everyone.
