FJDP (Foundation for Justice, Development, and Peace) extended a warm welcome to 50 newly admitted students in the Education in Emergency program, an initiative led by the esteemed Catholic Bishop of Makurdi, Most Revd Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe CMF.
These eager students embarked on an exciting new chapter in their lives, as they report to their respective schools: Mount St. Gabriel's Secondary School, Makurdi; Holy Child Secondary School, Makurdi; Mount Carmel Secondary School, Makurdi; and St. Michael’s Secondary School Aliade. Their hearts were filled with excitement, marking a significant transition from the challenges of life in IDP camps, where they faced trauma and limited educational opportunities.
Through this remarkable program, they have gained access to better schools, offering them the chance to pursue their dreams and become future leaders, despite their current circumstances. The students radiated happiness, as they also received generous school packages to facilitate their academic journey.
The parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe and FJDP for bringing broad smiles and hope to their children's lives.
