Distribution of Dignity kits, Mattresses and Mosquito Nets to Internally displaced persons In IChwa camp, Makurdi LGA of Benue State.
FJDP seeks to protect and promote the totality of the dignity of the human person.
The project which is aimed at enhancing the protection of over 750,000 internally displaced persons (IDP) across five local government areas of Benue state, also intends to reduce the risk of Gender Based Violence through prevention, risk mitigation and response efforts thereby reducing the risk of statelessness. It is in that light that FJDP in collaboration with UNHCR commenced the distribution of dignity kits to women and girls of reproductive age, mattresses to aged Women, mosquito Nets to lactating mothers at the Ichwa IDP camp so as to better the lives and living condition of these poor displaced persons in Benue state.
A total of 1,212 Beneficiaries were reached with dignity kits out of which 25 received mattresses and 147 mosquito Nets.
