At FJDP, we are committed to fostering peaceful coexistence and resilience among IDPs and their host communities. As part of our ongoing psychosocial activities, we recently organized a recreational dance event for IDPs in the Dubai and Anyin communities of Logo LGA, Benue state.
The primary objective of this activity was to create a joyful moment, providing a much-needed respite for IDPs from the stress they endure. Through the power of dance, we aimed to help them temporarily escape the trauma they have experienced and promote healing.
Moreover, the dance event served as a platform for integration between IDPs and the host community. By bringing people together in a spirit of unity and celebration, we fostered a sense of belonging and connection, breaking down barriers and promoting understanding.
We believe that these collective experiences contribute to building resilience and nurturing a peaceful coexistence within the community. By providing opportunities for shared joy and connection, we create a foundation for healing, empathy, and stronger bonds among individuals.
Together, we can continue to make a difference and build a future where peaceful coexistence and resilience flourish.
