Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation(BAAF) in company of UNHCR paid a familiarization visit to FJDP at the head office in Makurdi this afternoon. The programme manager for BAF Awoyele Ifeoluwa said part of the purpose of the visit was to appreciate FJDP for the office space allocated to BAF in FJDP’s office premises.
The programme manager also informed the management of FJDP that they were in the state to carry out birth registration for host community population in the state and sued for collaboration and support from FJDP for the success of the exercise.
The UNHCR head of field unit Irene Donation Babu also reiterated the commitment of UNHCR in redoubling efforts and ensuring an end to statelessness also solicited the support of FJDP to enable BAF deliver on their mandate.
Also responding the programme manager of FJDP, Valentine Kwaghchimin and the Admin Manager Blessing Adzaagee welcomed the team to FJDP office and promise to give them the needed support as they carry out their work.
The FJDP Programme manager for FJDP also stressed the fact that this is also an avenue for the two organization to learn from each other and explore other areas of possible collaboration.
The visiting team was conducted round the office space allocated to them by the management of FJDP which was the highlight of the visit.
