FJDP Nigeria , in collaboration with UNHCR Nigeria, launched a campaign commemorating International Women’s Day in selected churches across Benue state.
The event garnered active participation from various organizations and government agencies, addressing different forms of gender-based violence (GBV) against women.
FJDP staff, alongside representatives from other organizations, engaged the parishioners in the selected Churhces and Holy Ghost Parish Makurdi. Madam Irene Donation Babu, leading the UNHCR team, educated women on their rights, various manifestations of GBV, and the significance of treating wives with respect and dignity.
Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were effectively employed to enhance participant understanding.
A special acknowledgment to UNHCR for their consistent technical support in our efforts for displaced persons and communities in need.
