As it is in the culture of the Foundation for justice, development and Peace (FJDP) Makurdi to equip her staff adequately for enhanced productivity yearly, 2023 was not an exception as a 3-day capacity-building workshop was organized for staff from Monday 8th to 10th January, 2023 at the FJDP conference hall.
Day 1 and 2 of the training sessions included 2022 in review: Achievements and Lessons learned, 2023 PD, Admin Procedures, Fleet and Logistics, Procurement processes, financial processes and Internal Control and Compliance procedures.
The training also captured the spiritual aspect where staff were refreshed spiritually with a retreat by the Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi Very Revd Fr Moses Iorapuu. The retreat ended with a Holy Mass at the Holy Ghost Parish Makurdi.
Day 3 of the training aimed at improving the physical and mental capacity, all staff were involved in different forms of games ranging from football, Cheers, Ludo, Snooker, WHOT, Draft etc where the Staff excitedly participated alongside the Coordinator.
This day ended with a Social Night where awards were presented to deserving staff members who distinguished themselves. Many other social activities were carried out at the Royal Choice Inn Presidential suit Makurdi
