Strengthening Community Resilience to Armed Conflicts between Pastoralists and Farmers in the Benue Valley (SCORE) is a Misereor sponsored project implemented by FJDP Nigeria. The project is designed to strengthen resilience of populations within communities affected by herder-farmer conflicts.
As part of measures to achieve the project's objectives, a 1-Day Inter-State Inter-Agency Forum for Early Warning and Early Response was held in Lafia, where Stakeholders across Benue and Nasarawa States engaged in understanding warning signs and cross-border security, early warning mechanisms and action planning and milestone setting.
Stakeholders present included : Chairmen of Guma LGA of Benue State and Awe LGA of Nasarawa State, The DPO Police, NSCDC (Agro Rangers), AFAN, MACBAN, Traditional and Religious leaders, youths, women, media and community gatekeepers.
As always, we appreciate Misereor for their constant support to the conflict affected population.
